Learn Spanish
Updated November 1, 2026
WanderMundo is an AI language learning app where you learn Spanish through short course lessons, speaking with an AI tutor and graded stories. This page shows the actual course units and what to practice first. Start free in your browser, with no download or credit card; your pace is your own.
What will you learn in the first 30 days?
Use units 1–5 as a suggested first-month focus: introductions, likes, numbers, ordering and telling what happened yesterday. Each unit has four short lessons. Days 1–10 can include First Words if you know nothing; then return to the Path. Repeat difficult lessons rather than rushing to meet a calendar target.
The tables are drawn directly from the current Spanish course data, including each unit's actual level. They are a course inventory, not a competing-app list or a promise of fluency. For a broader study method, read the best way to learn Spanish; for app comparisons, use the Spanish app guide.

How does a lesson work?
Each unit opens with a plain-English grammar tip and word-pattern trick. Exercises include matching, sentence building, listening, speaking, blanks, corrections and translation; a short tutor chat follows.
For the rule's place among the other sentence patterns, use Spanish grammar.
What happens in the practice chat after each lesson?
Each lesson ends with a short practice chat with the AI tutor, built around what you just learned. You answer by typing or speaking, and when you make a mistake you see a correction card with the right sentence and a one-line reason in your own language.
There are no hearts or lives. Mistakes never block you; they come back later and are saved to Review, where saved words also become flashcards. Path lessons are free and unlimited on every plan.
For the course sequence behind this practice, see Spanish for your partner and their family.
Can you speak from day one?
Speak from day one by choosing a predictable scenario and using reply ideas or translation. Walk & Talk adds hands-free tutor-led lessons of 10–60 minutes with commands such as slower, repeat that and pause. The screen must stay on; free learners get one ten-minute session a day.
Can you listen to graded Spanish stories?
Spanish has 150+ graded episodes, from A1 to C2, with English support for beginners. Listen has podcast-style story episodes graded by level, with a read-along transcript in Spanish, English or both, and speeds from 0.6x to 1.25x. Beginner episodes include English support that fades as your level goes up.
How do you track your level?
The free Spanish level test works without signup or email. About 16 adaptive questions take around eight minutes and give an estimated A1–C2 level. A free account can save the result and build a daily plan. The estimate is not a certificate, and the Spanish structured course itself reaches B1.
How does the Spanish Verb Engine fit the course?
The Verb Engine adds cognate verb keys, helper verbs, Top 100 verb cards and Verb Gym review. These are original WanderMundo learning materials, not copied book text or a guaranteed speed formula. Use a cognate pattern with false-friend warnings, or a helper plus an infinitive, then try it in a real sentence.
Practice quiero hablar, puedo hablar and voy a hablar as reusable shapes rather than learning every form at once. Verb Gym brings practiced forms back for review. Keep the course as your sequence and use the verb tools for focused repetition; knowing a card is different from producing the form during conversation.
What are 6 useful Spanish starter phrases?
These examples come from the real Spanish course. Reuse one pattern with a different name, place or thing, then check the correction if you need it.
| Spanish | English |

| Me llamo Tom. | My name is Tom. |
| Soy de Canadá. | I'm from Canada. |

| Tengo veinte años. | I'm twenty. |

There is no promised completion date. The first-month table is a practice suggestion, not a fluency guarantee; choose a pace that lets you repeat and review.
How can I start the Spanish Path without feeling overwhelmed?
